Balfour Road - Success

Prior to the local elections in May Stephen campaigned against plans by the Council to divert traffic off Kingston Road through Balfour and Cecil Roads. Residents of Balfour and Cecil Roads were appalled at the prospect of thousands of cars and heavy goods vehicles trundling down their narrow residential streets everyday. Stephen said, “These roads are entirely unsuitable for the volume of traffic that would have been using them and I am pleased to be able to say that the plans have now been dropped.”
